Photographic Expressionism with Devon Corman
Devon Corman is a film photographer based in Montreal. After briefly attending photography school, Corman dropped out to pursue his desire for a more personal and sensible approach to image making. He taught himself darkroom printing methods and developed his practice by merging it to his insatiable pursuit of music.
“I run a radio show where I express my love of researching and cataloging a wide array of experimental music projects. For the most part, the direction of this pursuit follows a heavy industrial and dark soundscape route. This translates into a dark and shadow heavy work — always with a sense of obscurity — and perverse at times.”

Through self-exploration, Devon’s work reflects around the complexity of personal identity and self-acceptance.
“I feel a deep moral sentiment to keep pushing my comfortability and that of the fashion industry.”
