House in Winterthur by Cyrill Dettling Architekturstudio and Schoop de Santis Architekten
Cyrill Dettline Architekturstudio created a minimalist home in Zurich, Switzerland that references the language of space and simplicity. Thinning the line between inside and outside, person and place.
Simplicity has a multifaceted voice, a subtle contradiction as it speaks very little. A calm and assured way of expression. Minimalist doctrine of self reference.
Simplistic spaces rarely show themselves fully at first discovery, often holding back their nuances. Allowing shadow, materials and the surroundings to have a voice in the conversation as they may. A fluid dialogue not shy, nor brash of ego.
It is within this conversation that space, body and the self are most unified. Fully heard and enveloped. The topic at hand, I and space.
Who are we but walls and windows. Doors.
Meaning and purpose.
