Allied Maker's Showroom in Tribeca
Allied Maker is a New York based design and manufacturing studio. Their mission is to deliver artisan crafted, highly engineered, sophisticated yet simple lighting design solutions. The studio's inspiration is fueled by an obsession with natural materials such as Brass, Glass, and Hardwoods along with a love for artisan craftsmanship.
The company was started by Ryden Rizzo in 2012 as a garage woodworking studio tucked away on the North Shore of Long Island. Lanette and Ryden were neighbors at the time, and were introduced a year after Allied Maker began. The two instantly fell in love and became a dynamic creative force; building Allied Maker into their dream design studio with a strong manufacturing backbone.
Designed in collaboration with architect Marshall Shuster, Allied Maker’s showroom is a gorgeous 2,000 square-foot space featuring bespoke details that reflect the company’s love for handcrafted details including Le Corbusier-inspired arched niches, a custom staircase with baluster hardware designed and made in-house, 12" wide-plank oak floors, terrazzo details with brass inlays, and more.
It took about a year of renovations during which Ryden and Lanette rethought the whole space – previously a dentist office – which now reflects the couple's love for sacred geometry and houses most of their pieces under one roof.
