Naoshima Through the Eyes of Marina Denisova
Naoshima is a small island located in the Seto Inland Sea, Japan.
Renowned for its many art museums like the Chichu Art Museum and the Benesse House, both designed by Japanese master Tadao Ando, the island houses art pieces by James Turrell, Walter De Maria, Claude Monet, and Yayoi Kusama, among others.
With rather strict limitations to image-taking, this art refuge prevents the overproduction of images and thus strengthens the mystical aura surrounding the place. We here invite you to rediscover this concrete sanctuary for art through the eyes of Marina Denisova.
