The Healing Power of Design : Grey House Curated by Louisa Grey
Coinciding with the last London Design Festival, IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD is the pop-up home exhibition that brought to life Grey House, a project taking place in an elegant townhouse located in North London. Initiated and curated by Louisa Grey, founder of House of Grey, the project aimed at promoting handcrafted, natural materials and artwork sourced from international makers by creating a space that could enhance well-being and value intuition. Grey House is one of the amazing projects that were foreshadowing the recent opening of the brand’s showroom in North London.
In order to create an experience that could be about more than the physicality and the visual aspect of design, the curators called upon creators working with other sense-based medium.
The space was inhabited by botanical design made by Urban Flower Co., sound design by Playlister and Urbanears along with Utopian scentscapes by The School of Life. Complimentary Energy Healing Head Clearing Treatments prepared by The Calmery were even offered in the exhibition.
Evoking a sense of warmth, elegance and calm not only through interior design, but through the general atmosphere of the space, Grey House made us want to turn this house into a home by demonstrating how much of a healing force design can be.
